King John's Christmas by A.A. Milne

Picture
This quick little unit (only three lessons) is really just an excuse to share one of the funniest, loveliest Christmas poems ever written. The class get the chance to talk about, analyse and perform some poetry, and there's a little writing task thrown in too.

Note about this planning: All of our Shakespeare and More English units are built around key objectives from the 2014 English National Curriculum for children aged 7-11. Whatever the curriculum you follow, we hope you'll find them useful.
